As of the 25th April 2012 the UK is officially back into recession the first double dip since the early 1970′s, many national high street chain of quality retailers are facing extra ordinary tough trading times not to mention the small independent operator of restaurants, public houses (pubs) and many many more, to many to mention individually apart from the bakers, all complaining about having to pay VAT on a sausage roll or pasty! sorry bakers, welcome to the real world I have been paying VAT on my hot take away food for nearly 30 years but that’s a story for another time.
Luckily, because I’m self employed I won’t be waiting for the call to the bosses office to be told I’m have my working hours reduced or at worst I’m surplus to requirements and way past my sell by date. Sorry for being blunt, but this is happening all over the UK and in many other countries all around the world.

As I sit here in my home office looking out into the front garden, watching the blackbirds squabble as the occasional car passes by at 06.30am.
I’m finding it really difficult for many reasons really, tiredness being the number one factor because at the moment the sun rises at about 05.00 ish and the birds start singing to me (john it’s time to get up come feed me, come feed me) so I lay in bed semi conscious for half an hour or so, and then give in to all the call of nature and get up.
I go downstairs switch my laptop on, fill the kettle for my 4 mugs of caffeine hit and the go to the ( oh, you really want to know that) and then back to kitchen for the first caffeine hit of the morning.
So, how should we stay focused on our tasks for the Internet Laptop Lifestyle.
But ultimately I have to be accountable to my self to get the tasks done, what ever they may be to take my online business to the next level, so I can enjoy the Internet Laptop Lifestyle Shelly and I so deserve.

We all have to sign an NDA because it’s a behind closed door event. Which basically means everyone who attends will be required to sign an NDA document which binds them to secrecy. How exciting.
When the event was first announced, I really dismissed it straight away because it’s in America, I live in the UK, It’s 4300 miles away, I have work issues, na de da na de da excuses excuses. Shelly, my wife said, “John come on why don’t you just go this is what you want to do after all.”
So after a bit of soul searching and chatting with some Six Figure Mentors mates who have already booked and got tickets, I decided Friday 20th April, 5 days after my 49th birthday was my day, all the excuses had to stop! I have to challenge myself to really making Internet Marketing work for me.
So I bought my event ticket, booked my flights and hotel room and all internal travel arrangements have been made.
Louth to Atlanta with friends meeting new people, training hard and back in six days. DONE!!

Now first things first and lets make no mistake and be very very clear on this-
-I am not a guru!!
I am just an ordinary guy who wants to change his life from working hard and being bound by a ball and chain (job) into something new and exciting, and enjoying living the Internet Laptop Lifestyle, because sorry to be a bit morbid but we are all going to die and life is not a dress rehearsal.
These are just my ramblings from some one who has tried and failed and tried again then failed again, and is now trying again only this time with a lot more direction. so please don’t shoot me if what I say is wrong because we are all still learning this stuff.
My first step into Internet Laptop Lifestyle was with a bloke in the UK in the direct mail niche, I bought his products and set up my little home business with dvd’s.
The problem for me was clarity.
I had got the dvd licence to sell, had a website built, set up a paypal account to take my huge amounts of money (because making money is easy..right?) the problem was I had no idea about driving traffic to my site or even capturing the leads that came to my site.
What to do, well after quite a bit of expense and months of trial and error with no return and less hair than when I started, I did what any self respecting wanna be does, I threw it all in the bin and gave up. Failure number one.
I still knew there was a way, I continued to look for that golden opportunity to break free from the rat race and live life on my own terms.
Along came failure number two, Clickbank products, push button over night rags to riches $47.00 programs. Hmm how many did I buy? well to be honest I have lost bloody count, but I have to say with all these products without knowing my skill level was growing and the way I approached my due diligence changed.
What I decided was I needed a MENTOR!! searching the Interweb I found a young fella called Stuart Ross, so I clicked on his link and became a subscriber receiving emails and video’s on a regular basis telling me how his is making money online, not a small amount this guy earned $25000.00 a month every month after six months online. I followed Stuart for about a year or so because basically I did not want to throw more good money after bad before I became one of his students within the Six Figure Mentors.

Over the years understandably there has been many money making articles and blog posts about living the Internet laptop lifestyle and why.
I can honestly say without a shadow of doubt my why is….I want live the Internet Laptop Lifestyle and to earn more money from making a living online, I don’t mean I want to earn $1 million a year so I can buy Ferraris and Lamborghinis because that’s just not me.
However I would not say no to having one for a day and riding around my local town watching the heads turn with a number plate that read (MR CHIPS) now that would make me smile or something (evil laugh ha,ha,ha) lets get back to the real world.
I would like to earn around the $10k a month so Shelly (wife) and I could go and travel. First class and 5 star off to the Windward Islands we would go for sun, sea and iced tea, I love Antigua the most out of the ones I have visited (Nelson’s Dockyard and Shirley Heights at sun set being the highlights).
Then, if my Six Figure Mentors and Empower Network businesses are doing well
(I mean doing $10K a month consistently after expenses) we intend buy a good size Camper Van (motor home) and travel because I also enjoy driving, having a road trip with a yorkie bar on the dashboard is heaven for me. I love the open road, firstly we would start on the east coast near Grimsby UK and head northwards towards Scotland touring the highlands and soaking up the life before heading down the west coast into Wales a quick drop off for a few day to visit Shelly’s brother and wife for a few beers. After it’s down to the South Coast to find my old mates John & Rita who live on a 38ft Sailing Yacht and go port to port living the life. I think 4-6 weeks would do it before arriving back on the East Coast and home, if Shelly has not murdered me in my sleep in the mean time.
The next trip will need lots and lots of planning and Internet Marketing, it’s France, Spain, Portugal, Italy here we come, living by the sea hippy style (I might even take up yoga and start chanting) drinking beer and wine eating fresh local produce, (put another shrimp on the Barbie Shelly, I could say). can you smell it guys? the sea air, the slow hours of the day wouldn’t life be fantastic!!
I always wanted to be a farmer in my younger years and bring in the harvest ( it’s a red tractor thing) so we might find a small farm and offer our services picking oranges or lemons may be grapes at their harvest time just for the experience for a day or two before moving on.
I think I might do a daily video blog (yes Ozzy you have read it right) to record our experience’s and would be quite a laugh, catching those unexpected moments of joy.
Not forgetting my links of course because I have to keep the funds coming in for Scandinavia, but that’s another time. So there you have it, this is my WHY.
